Music fucks me up.

It was something I was talking with Andrea about one night when she asked me what kind of music I listened to. I have never really been a seeker of music and after my rather sizeable (but predictable) music collection was stolen from my work when I was about 20, I never really got back into it… and still haven’t.

Now… that all being said. I fucking love music. It’s so much like an orgasm for me. It charges through my whole body. It drags it’s sonic fingers down my chest and pulls me into it’s mouth. I literally have a list of songs that I’ve forbidden myself to listen to when I’m doing anything important because they paralyze me with such an energy that I’m ripped away from reality. 

It… kind of scares me actually.

Some of Elton John’s early work is so staggeringly haunting I can hardly breathe listening to it. The first time I heard Liz Phair’s “Supernova” I had to go into the bathroom at the mall I bought it at and jerk off to the thought of fucking anyone like a volcano. The cacophony at the end of Arcade Fire’s “Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels)” makes my eyes leak like riding my scooter into the wind and I’ve started bawling on a city bus because of it.

In short? Music fucks me (up). Sometimes I can handle it. Sometimes I cant. 

This is fucking amazing.
