“I was named after the Hall & Oates song, “Sara Smile” which I think explains my affinity for laughter, mustaches, cheesy love songs, and keytars. I’m also obsessed with Jay-Z. (We both lived off the JMZ line in Brooklyn, love Beyoncé, have 99 problems, and I heard a rumor that he is also part Filipino.)”

She’s awesome. I follow her; do you? Edited to add: she’s Words & Turds.

Discoveries

Things we have found in the rafters of the basement in our South Philly home:

1. Nazi postcard propaganda from the early 40s. Mostly sporting events and Hitler appearing at large rallies. This was before all of the arm-waving and before most of the really horrific stuff, when the Nazis were mostly just a political party.

2. Nudie magazines from the 70s.

3. A bank — it was empty.

We are going to keep looking up there. See what else we can find.
