Rules to live my life by
This describes my partner pretty well: he loves my cat; he has a beard; he thus has many chances, all of the chances, because he rules.
1. the person i like and why i like them.
First, for the record, I like a lot of people and I develop crushes all the livelong day. But since I suspect this question is referring to the person I chose as a partner, I will talk about Kevin.
I don’t think I have met another human who could be as good a partner for me. He is kind, logical (but also sensitive), intelligent without being condescending, and he cooks for me. When you ask him to do something, he almost always says yes and rarely feels put-out by the favor. If he has a skill he can share, and he has a lot of skills, he does so willingly. He is tall and strong, but not hyper-masculine nor bending to societal expectations. He is accepting of people as they are and understanding of their limitations; he sees the best in people, but also knows what is reasonable to expect from them on an individual basis. He is trust-worthy and a good listener, he only gives advice when it is asked of him. His hands are soft, but super-capable. They’re bigger than mine, but not ostentatiously large — just big enough to make mine feel a little smaller and protected. (I have a thing with hands.) Most importantly, perhaps, he is a good friend to me and everyone else he chooses to call “friend.” He is a loyal and honest human being who does not shy away from commitment, but enters into it with an open mind and measured optimism. Hence why we have been together for three lovely years and I suspect there will be many more to come.
He is making me a hot toddy right now.
